Janet Denison teaches others to live an authentic faith through her writing, speaking, and teaching ministry. For almost thirty years, she has been writing and teaching Bible study.
She has a weekly blog and has been a regular contributor at Christian Parenting. She is the author of an annual Advent book and Content to Be Good, Called to Be Godly, among other books.
Janet and her husband, Dr. Jim Denison, live in Dallas, Texas. When they’re not writing or ministering to others, they enjoy spending time with their grown children and their four still-growing grandchildren.
The Denisons have been privileged to serve four churches: New Hope Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas; First Baptist Church Midland, Texas; Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia; and Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
She grew up in California and moved to Texas during her college years. She is a graduate of Houston Baptist University, where she majored in Elementary Education and English. She met her husband at HBU, and they married in 1980.
Today, Janet teaches a yearly Bible study both locally and virtually.
She also founded Christian Parenting in 2015 to equip parents with practical help and biblical encouragement as they raise children to know and love God.
Denison Ministries is an organization seeking to resource believers to experience and advance God’s kingdom. Resources include the Denison Forum, First15, JanetDenison.org, and ChristianParenting.org.
